Step By Step Process To Get Married In Cuba

Get Your Documents Legalized By The Cuban Embassy

STEP 1: DOCUMENTS In order to get married in Cuba as a non-Cuban citizen, you have to have your documents for marriage legalized by the Cuban Embassy in the country where you are a citizen. If you were not born in Canada or the United States, but you are a citizen in either country now, then your documents require an extra step for legalization.

The legalization process is different in the United States in Canada. Our staff has years of experience with both processes to assist you wherever you live.

STEP 2: CERTIFY/AUTHENTICATE Before your documents can be legalized by the Cuban Embassy or Cuban Consulate, they must first be certified or authenticated by the country where the documents originated (The United States or Canada). Unless this process is completed first, the documents cannot be legalized for use in Cuba by the Embassy or Consulate.

STEP 3: TRANSLATE The documents are then translated into Spanish for legalization: Documents in English, French, or any other language cannot be legalized for use in Cuba unless they are translated. The translations must also be notarized in the format mandatory for use at the Cuban Embassy.

STEP 4: LEGALIZE We serve your documents in person to the Cuban Consulate in Washington DC or Toronto, ON to ensure that they are accepted and in safe hands. When the documents are finished processing, we pick them up in person and send them to you.

STEP 5: CELEBRATE You get married in Cuba and live happily ever after.
