Flights To Resume Between Miami, FL and Havana, Cuba June 4, 2020

According to the website of American Airlines, tickets are now being sold for the first flights out of Miami to Havana in several weeks due to COVID-19. Southwest Airlines has confirmed that flights from Tampa to Havana will resume June 7, 2020.

Cuban Authorities have previously stated that the island is on lockdown until May 31, with only Cuban citizens being admitted at international borders.

The US State Department issued a Level 4 "do not travel" advisory on April 20, 2020, which is the highest level of advisory that can be issued. US citizens are advised not to travel, and only "essential" journeys are meant to be taken.

In both Cuba and the United States, travelers arriving from an international destination will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival.

The US government has ongoing chartered flights from Havana, Cuba to repatriate US citizens who have been stuck in Cuba during the pandemic. The State Department has confirmed that due to spacing restrictions, all travelers cannot be accommodated at once - hence the ongoing flights.

American Airlines flights on the first date available, June 4, 2020 appear to be sold out. However, additional flights are still available.

Southwest Airlines flights to Havana are sold out until June 9, 2020.

Even though flights between Miami and Cuba are now for sale, neither government has confirmed that international flights will be allowed to arrive. For this reason, you may want to wait to purchase a flight until government confirmation is issued.
